Clinical research assistant premed reddit. I do not have any clinical except for some shadowing and volunteering at the hospital so I'm debating between taking up this opportunity or Hi everyone, I'm making this post because I wanted everyone's input on whether my time as a clinical research assistant would count as "clinical experience". I was also debating between scribing and clinical research and even started scribe training but I’m so glad I decided on research instead. I interact with patients every single day. I just graduated and this would be a full time position. My research lab offered me a full-time position for when I graduate in the Winter. On the other hand, PA school would get me to $100K+ right after graduation (it should), but the debt, salary ceiling, and potential for burnout are extremely worrying. I have ~3000 hours of recent clinical experience, ~500 hours of research from undergrad and my current job in clinical research, ~300 hours of volunteer work from undergrad, and ~100 hours of shadowing. It is clinical research, mostly chart abstraction, for a PI/physician in the Ob/Gyn department (specialty I'm interested in), but I am worried about my clinical experience. I moved to a different part of the country after undergrad so where I am in the South, it's not as common. To any of you looking for a gap year job, do anything you can to become a "clinical research coordinator" or "consultant" Which is better, becoming a Clinical Research Coordinator or Clinical Research Associate? I heard that CRC are viewed as better by med schools, but I'm unsure as to why since it seems like CRAs have more responsibilities in the studies. ufgvpna fmgwzr jjmjd leylb ipwau yrb bdeoy ezdymy hqqtm exgh
